De rechter heeft een 27-jarige Katwijker veroordeeld tot zes jaar cel omdat hij heeft geprobeerd twee jongens van zestien en negentien jaar aan te zetten om iemand in de benen te schieten. De zestienjarige is later dood aangetroffen op school.

De gevoelstemperatuur in het noorden van het land kan dinsdagochtend dalen tot -15 graden. De gemeten temperatuur ligt al ver onder het vriespunt, en door een straffe wind voelt het nog veel kouder aan.

Tyron was home to Tryon Toy Makers, and two employees of the company, Meredith Lankford and Odell Peeler, designed the first large scale Tyron Horse there. The horse was used as an advertisement for the first horse show held at Harmon Field in 1928 and was sponsored by Tryon Riding and Hunt Club.

It was made of wood, carried through town for parades, and when its reins were pulled, its head and tail would lift. Unfortunately, the original Morris was detroyed in the 1930s when the Paper Box Factory where it was being stored caught on fire.

The current Morris is made of fiberglass and is in the fourth generation of Tyron Horses. It does not travel in parades anymore, but every Christmas, a wreath sponsored by a local business is placed around its neck.

Apple overweegt om na zijn foldable ook een klaptelefoon uit te brengen, meldt Bloomberg. Het persbureau schrijft daarbij meteen dat het 'verre van zeker' is dat het product daadwerkelijk op de markt komt.

De eerste foldable van Apple komt naar verluidt dit jaar uit.

In New York I ran a photography studio, and witnessed a lot of fashion shoots. The clothes would be delivered from the fashion designer's studio, and it was the stylist's job to make those clothes fit whatever models had been hired for the shoot.

Because shoots move quickly, and the garments couldn't be physically modified, stylists frequently used safety pins, binder clips and the like to pinch the fabric (on the side of the model's body that the camera couldn't see). So I was amused to see this Eye Clip , by Issey Miyake.

It's basically an XL version of what a stylist might use during a shoot. It's meant to be worn out in the open, and allows the wearer to don ridiculously wrong-sized garments, in the name of fashion.
